Quality Care

St. Clare-Newport’s team of experienced healthcare professionals offer traditional and therapeutic medical services for our elders and support for their caregivers. Each person entering our home receives an individualized care plan to ensure that they receive the very best treatment and care from our staff. St. Clare-Newport is staffed to treat the resident as a whole person and to address medical, psychological and spiritual needs.

Our professional staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, medical technicians, a social worker, chaplain and food safety-certified chefs.

Licensed clinical social workers, registered dietitians and other consultants, including pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and psychiatric support staff are available to help residents maintain optimum health.

At St. Clare-Newport, we are able to care for a wide variety of individuals. St. Clare residents come from home, from hospitals and from other nursing facilities. Although we can care for all age groups 18 years and over, the majority of our residents are 70-plus years. St. Clare-Newport programs are designed to serve the needs of individuals with varied health issues and diagnoses.

St. Clare-Newport is nestled in the heart of Newport, offering tremendous options for dining, walking, sightseeing and waterfront activities. Our amenities are extensive and include a beautiful chapel with historic stained-glass windows and a full-time chaplain to meet the spiritual needs
